After impressing off the bench against Ipswich Town on Tuesday night, Jordan Bowery says he wants to score more goals to help MK Dons climb the Sky League One table.
Bowery has netted once since his arrival to Stadium MK, however, his unselfish work for Paul Tisdale’s side hasn’t gone unnoticed.
The forward has proved to be a tricky customer for opposition defences, but luck just hasn’t fallen his way in front of goal.
The 28-year-old met with the local media ahead of Saturday’s clash with Southend United, and noted he can’t get frustrated and will remain confident in front of goal.
“Every striker wants to score – that’s your job,” Bowery said in his pre-match press conference. “I have to be patient, I can’t get frustrated. If you do, your head gets down and things will get worse for you.
“I’ve got to stay positive and hopefully goals will follow. The main thing for me though is the team. If I’m not scoring, the likes of Sam Nombe or Kieran Agard are.
“There is good competition, but we always want to score goals and be top scorer at the end of the season.”
MK Dons have the opportunity to bounce back this Saturday when they take on Southend United at Stadium MK.
