Paul Tisdale has full confidence in the depth of his MK Dons squad.
The Dons could be without up to eight players for this weekend’s Sky Bet League One fixture with Burton Albion, with striker Kieran Agard the latest to join the injury list after picking up a knock in the Leasing.com Trophy win over Fulham Under-21s.
Tisdale, though, isn’t making excuses and has belief in the players available to get the job done this Saturday and moving forwards.
“We have to navigate our way through the next few months,” Tisdale said in his pre-match press conference ahead of this weekend’s clash at Stadium MK.
"We're at bare bones, but that's why we have a squad and I am fully behind the players we have available and I’ll be encouraging the players we select on Saturday.
“We had quite a few training [on Thursday] – Ben Reeves, Baily Cargill and Jordan Moore-Taylor - but there's one thing training and another to be ready for selection and ready to make an impact.
“Sometimes you have to adjust and adapt, and in there you might find something. It might be the emergence of a player like Sam Nombe, or it might be a subtle change of formation is required and it suddenly becomes something we can get our teeth into. You have to spin the positives – you never know what is around the corner.”
Saturday's match with Burton Albion has been designated as the Club’s first Family Fun Day of the campaign, meaning tickets are priced from just £10 adults and £1 under-18s, with upgrades available to East Centre and clubRed.
What’s more, a host of activity will take place prior to kick-off in the Marshall Arena for supporters of all ages to enjoy, while the popular Mascot Race returns at half-time.
