mkdons.com details the storylines to follow heading into Saturday's Sky Bet League One encounter with Burton Albion at Stadium MK...

Dons looking to get back on track
MK Dons will be out to get back on the winning trail this weekend after three straight Sky Bet League One defeats.

Despite some positive performances, Paul Tisdale’s men suffered 1-0 losses at home to Ipswich Town and Southend United before being beaten 2-1 by Sunderland at the Stadium of Light last weekend.

Their form has them sitting 15th in the Sky Bet League One table, level on points with this weekend’s opponents Burton Albion. They are seven points adrift of the top six, albeit with a game in hand and will want to close that gap with victory on Saturday.

First ever meeting with the Brewers
Saturday will be the inaugural fixture between MK Dons and Burton Albion, with the two sides having never met before in any competition.

That isn’t to say there aren’t any links. The Brewers have two former Dons amongst their ranks in Stephen Quinn and Lloyd Dyer, while Joe Mason spent a month at the Pirelli Stadium during the 2017/2018 season.

Food for thought after Tuesday’s tie
There were plenty of positives for Paul Tisdale in midweek as his MK Dons side made it two wins from two in the Leasing.com Trophy.

Striker Kieran Agard grabbed the decisive goal early in the second half, as he found the net for the first time since August, while defender Matthew Sorinola was impressive on his senior debut.

What’s more, Jordan Moore-Taylor made his first appearance since returning from a knee injury which has sidelined him since January. He will likely be brought along slowly but may provide an option off the bench for Tisdale this weekend.

Jordan’s back… anybody else?
As mentioned above, Jordan Moore-Taylor made his comeback in midweek, so who will be the next sidelined Don to return to action?

Ben Reeves and Baily Cargill are likely the closest two to re-joining the action with Rhys Healey and Joe Mason expected to be sidelined for a longer period of time.

Jordan Houghton limped off against Sunderland last weekend and it remains to be seen how long he will be out for, if at all.

Boss Tisdale may provide an injury update when he meets with the media on Thursday. His press conference will be available to watch in full on mkdons.com.

Family Fun Day crowd
MK Dons host their first Family Fun Day event of the season this weekend and with it, a bumper crowd is expected at Stadium MK.

Tickets are priced from just £10 adults and £1 under-18s, with upgrades available to East Centre and clubRed.

What’s more, a host of activity will take place prior to kick-off in the Marshall Arena for supporters of all ages to enjoy, while the popular Mascot Race returns at half-time.
