Russell Martin will lean on the experience of two of his senior professionals while he searches for additions to his backroom team.
Martin is the only member of the Dons’ football management team following the departures of Paul Tisdale, Matt Oakley, Danny Butterfield and Mel Gwinnett, but hopes to welcome new arrivals to the Club in the due course.
Until then, though, Martin has the support of the Sports Science and Medicine and recruitment teams, as well as the experienced pair of Dean Lewington and Ryan Harley, who have offered to lend a hand.
“We're in the process of sorting [an assistant manager] but these things are never easy, as good people are usually in jobs,” he told iFollow MK Dons.
“I know who I want, I know why I want them here and I think they'll be perfect. We'll challenge each other and the players, but more importantly they're good people and will add to what we've got here. Hopefully we can sort that as soon as possible.
“Until then, I've got Lewie to lean on. He knows the club inside out and is still a brilliant servant. Ryan Harley too, who has a brilliant relationship with the younger players - he will focus on that.
“We've got the right people here. Everyone is on board, helpful, and we just need a couple more to get us ready.”
