MK Dons enjoyed a change of scenery earlier this week as they took to the golf course for a post-training team-bonding session.

Instead of heading home following training on Monday, Russell Martin’s first-team spent the afternoon at Mr Mulligans Milton Keynes for two rounds of crazy golf.

The squad was split up into positional and departmental groups, with the coaches – led by manager Russell Martin - coming out on top.

The team then returned to MK1 for a team meal at Wagamama – the newest addition to the restaurants on the Stadium MK site.

“Thank you to Mr Mulligans and Wagamama for having us this week,” manager Martin said in his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet League One clash with Rotherham United.

“We trained first and did all our work, and then went had some good fun and food together.

"Everyone involved in the first team took part – staff and players – and it was a good exercise. Everyone enjoyed it and enjoyed being in each other’s company.

“The players and staff have got to enjoy the process a little more and then hopefully it means we can all enjoy our Saturdays a little more.

“It was certainly worthwhile and we’ll look to do more of this moving forward.”

MK Dons would like to thank both Mr Mulligans Milton Keynes and Wagamama Bletchley for having the team this week.
