Robbie Simpson has praised the impact Paul Tisdale has had at MK Dons and believes the Club and Tisdale are a really good fit.

Simpson joined MK Dons to reunite with Tisdale in July 2018, since his arrival the striker has proved a valuable asset both on and off the pitch.

The 34-year-old has worked with Tisdale for a number of years, with their first interaction coming over 10-years ago, while Simpson was playing for the England University side, managed by Tisdale.

Speaking to iFollow MK Dons after the Dons earned promotion back into Sky Bet League One at the first time of asking, Simpson applauded the Dons manager for the turnaround he’s manufactured in such a short space of time.

“When you sign for a new club, you have to buy into what the club is all about – Tis is a really good fit for MK Dons.

“He has been a class act from the get-go. The players absolutely love him, the chairman loves him, and I’m sure the fans will love him after promotion.

“Listening to the Chairman speak before the game, saying why he did not want to limit Mansfield's ticket allocation because for them it could be a historic moment as well – that's a really classy statement. As a manager, Tis has definitely bought into that.

“He got the players on board with that ethos. I've certainly bought into it, and the players loved being a part of it."
