Jordan Houghton admits he can’t put into words what promotion means to both him and MK Dons.
The Dons secured an immediate return to Sky Bet League One on a dramatic final day of the 2018/19 season.
They beat Mansfield Town 1-0 in front of over 20,000 supporters at Stadium MK to leapfrog the Stags and move into the third and final automatic promotion spot.
“You can't put this feeling into words,” said Houghton, who made 48 appearances during his first season at Stadium MK.
“It's an amazing feeling to do it in front of this massive crowd. This is what you live for and play football for - what a feeling!
“It has been a mixture of emotions throughout the season. I didn't come here to have a season in mid-table, stopping the rot – I wanted to get promoted straight away.
“Now we can push on, re-group and push on again for promotion.”
