Hiram Boateng became MK Dons’ first signing of the Summer Transfer Window earlier this week – and the new midfielder stated his excitement to get going with MK Dons.
Boateng progressed through the ranks at Crystal Palace before departing the London Club for Exeter City in 2017, where he played for the last two seasons.
The 23-year-old’s enthusiasm to get going clear to see, while the midfielder also feels he is ready for the step-up to Sky Bet League one football.
“I’m over the moon to be here,” Boateng told iFollow MK Dons. “I’ve been waiting to get it done for a few weeks now - I’m really excited to be here.
“I think it’s going to be a new challenge for me as I’ve been playing in Sky Bet League Two for the last few seasons.
“I feel I have what it takes to step up to League One and I feel I’m ready to show what I’m capable at this level – I’m excited.”
It can be difficult for a footballer to enter a new dressing room, however, Boateng has already played with Jordan Moore-Taylor, Ryan Harley and Joe Walsh, three players he feels will make his integration period into a squad a little bit easier.
"I’ve heard it’s a good group of lads here and there are lads who will help me to settle in really well. It’s going to be good coming into a positive environment, it makes it a bit easier coming in as a new player.
I’m here to help push the Club in the right direction of where we want to go. As long as we get our heads down, play well and stay together, hopefully, we can carry on being successful."
