The dust is yet to settle on MK Dons successful Sky Bet League Two campaign, but Alex Gilbey is already looking forward to stepping back onto the pitch again.
Gilbey missed the closing stages of the season due to injury, and while he’ll be working hard over the Summer during his rehabilitation, the Midfielder states he’s already excited for the 2019/20 season.
“I honestly can’t wait to get going,” Gilbey told iFollow MK Dons. “I’m loving my football right now – I can’t wait to get back for pre-season and crack on.
“I’ll be in with the physio’s over the Summer, I still get my holiday’s but I’ll be in grafting and getting ready for pre-season. When the lads come back I’ll be working hard with them and enjoying it.
“I’ve got a few holidays, I’m looking forward to them, but I’ll still be working hard to make sure I’m in good shape.”
