MK Dons have signed wide-man Brennan Dickenson on a free transfer, making him their second capture of the summer.
Dickenson, who can play on the left side of defence as well as his primary position of midfield, joins from Colchester United following the expiration of his contract with the U’s.
During his time in Essex, the 26-year-old made 93 appearances, scored 15 goals and provided 10 assists while he was also named the U’s Player of the Year and Player’s Player of the Year in 2017.
“This is a great club with a great stadium. I’ve heard lots of good things about the manager and I know a few of the boys as well. Everything just seems right.
“I’m excited to meet everyone, the players and the fans, and get going - hopefully it will be a good season.”
A former Southampton trainee, Dickenson began his senior career with Dorchester Town before joining Brighton & Hove Albion for an undisclosed fee in January 2012.
The midfielder enjoyed loan spells with Chesterfield, AFC Wimbledon and Northampton Town while on the Seagulls’ books, before signing for Gillingham, where he spent two seasons and totalled 78 appearances.
Colchester United swooped for Dickenson in July 2016 and he went on to spend three campaigns with the Essex club before leaving this summer for Stadium MK.
He arrives at the Dons with over 200 career games to his name.
