Despite replacing Lee Nicholls in the Starting XI in recent weeks, Stuart Moore has heaped praise on his team-mate for his supportive nature and hard-working attitude.
Moore has featured three times in Sky Bet League Two this season after deputising in the league at Newport County in mid-February.
Moore spoke highly of Nicholls and how he’s dealt with the situation, noting his performances in training has kept the 24-year-old on his toes.
“Lee has been different class with me,” Moore told the media ahead of Saturday’s clash at Stadium MK.
“His attitude with me has been brilliant. He still works hard in training and has been really supportive with me.
“The whole group here is very supportive – there is no bad blood there.”
Moore added how biding his time can be a mental challenge – but one he was prepared for, while also noting that featuring for the Under-23s was integral to keeping his sharpness up.
“No-one wants to lose their place, and you never wish it on anyone - but you just have to be ready for your chance.
“As a goalkeeper, it's a difficult position to be in. If you're not playing, you have to look to get game time elsewhere - for me, it was the U23s games.
“I knew, once I got my chance, I'd be ready. It's difficult because as an outfield player, you can just come into games - it's different for a keeper."
