Midfielder ready to help Dons fight until the end…

Apologies, this video is unvailable.

Ryan Harley has endured somewhat of a stop-start season with injuries putting halt to his campaign – he insists he’s now ready to give everything for the final seven games of the season.

Harley has featured just eight times for the Dons this season, and despite his limited time on the pitch - he’s found the scoresheet on two separate occasions.

With just seven games left in the season, Harley stated he’ll give his all for the remainder of the season.

“I think it was my fourth start, I’ve had a lot of injuries. It is what it is – I’m looking forward to the next seven games now.

“We are where we want to be, but we need to really kick on – these final few games are so important.”

Harley opened the scoring against Yeovil Town, as he did against Oldham on the opening day of the season, a goal he feels played a significant role in the victory.

“The first goal is always important in any game, we’ve had a few games this season where we’ve gone a goal down and it’s not gone our way - it was important to get the first goal.

“They had a few spells but I think we felt comfortable enough. I’ve scored a few goals from that position during my career so it was something I’m used to – it was a decent strike and got us off to a good start.”

Harley could’ve bagged himself a brace, but left the hard work to Chuks Aneke who saw his left-footed strike find the back of the net after the forward had beaten a number of Yeovil defenders.

“Chuks has scored a few like that - he just bundles through. He’s such a good player and he’s so strong – I was waiting for the pullback but in the end, I just got out his way – it was a great goal.

“Chuks changed the game when he came on, he’s completely different to anything else we’ve got – he done really well.”
