#FixtureReleaseDay - Dons begin away at Bury

Paul Tisdale's men kick-off their season against fellow promoted side...

MK Dons will begin their 2019/20 Sky Bet League One campaign with a trip to fellow promoted side Bury.

Paul Tisdale’s men will travel to The Energy Check Stadium at Gigg Lane on Saturday 3 August to face the Shakers, who finished one place above the Dons in Sky Bet League Two last term.

The Dons then welcome Shrewsbury Town to Stadium MK for their home opener on Saturday 10 August. This is followed by their Carabao Cup Round One tie, which is set to be drawn later this evening.

August continues with a trip across to Buckinghamshire to face Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday 17th. The Dons then play back-to-back home matches against another fellow promoted side in Lincoln City (Tuesday 20th) and local rivals Peterborough United (Saturday 24th).

Tisdale’s side conclude the opening month of the season with an away clash against Accrington Stanley on Saturday 31 August.

AFC Wimbledon are the Dons’ opponents at Stadium MK for the first game of September - on Saturday 7th. The reverse fixture with AFC Wimbledon takes place at Kingsmeadow on Saturday 18 April - their third-to-last match of the campaign.

Tisdale’s team will travel to Southend United on Boxing Day before entertaining Portsmouth on Sunday 29 December. The Dons will be at home on New Year’s Day with Bristol Rovers the opposition.

The Easter weekend will see the Dons travel to Peterborough United on Good Friday (10 April) before taking on Accrington Stanley (13 April) at Stadium MK on Bank Holiday Monday.

Tisdale and his outfit will conclude their 2019/20 campaign with the aforementioned trip to AFC Wimbledon which is followed by their home finale against Blackpool on Saturday 25 April. Their final match of the season will be against Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Sunday 3 May.

Other notable fixtures include a trip to the Stadium of Light on Saturday 28 September; the two matches with Oxford United on Saturday 14 December at Stadium MK and Saturday 14 March at the Kassam Stadium; and the home fixture with county rivals Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday 1 February.
