MK Dons’ pre-season friendly with Brackley Town is scheduled to go ahead as planned despite a fire at St James Park earlier this week.
Brackley Town confirmed in a statement on their website that, early on Thursday morning, a fire tore through the clubhouse, bar area and other rooms at their St James Park ground.
Despite this tragedy, the Saints anticipate their friendly with MK Dons, scheduled for Tuesday 16 July, to go ahead as planned.
The Dons urge as many supporters as possible to make the trip to Northamptonshire to show support for a local club. Entry details will be confirmed in due course.
MK Dons, who have personally expressed their support for Brackley Town, have also offered to highlight and promote any fundraising activity undertaken by the National League North club and would ask Dons supporters to get involved in any which way they can.
