Having returned to Stadium MK on a permanent deal, Rhys Healey says it was a no brainer to return to the Club.

Healey joined MK Dons on loan in August 2018, and in his five months at the Club impressed across the board.

The striker spent the second-half of the season with Cardiff City, before moving back re-joining Paul Tisdale’s side earlier this week.

“It was a no-brainer for me,” Healey told iFollow MK Dons upon re-joining the Dons. “I’ve known about it for a few weeks and I was looking for a permanent move to play every week.

“As soon as I knew of the interest, I was desperate to get it done and get down here as early as I could – I’m glad it’s done.

“I really enjoyed my time here, the boys made me feel really welcome and from the past experience, it was an easy decision for me.”

Healey also admitted that during his time with Cardiff he was always keeping an eye out for the results and breathed a sigh of relief when the club secured their promotion into Sky Bet League One.

“I was a secret fan back at Cardiff. I was just desperate for the boys to get promoted having seen hard the boys work in games. When I saw them finally get over the line I was really happy them.

“I’m really excited to kick on, score goals and work hard. I want to help this club achieve its goals and score goals.”
