Former midfielder Ben Reeves is training with MK Dons while he searches for a new club.
Reeves, who made 135 appearances for the Dons between 2013 and 2017, is out of contract following his departure from Charlton Athletic and has been maintaining his fitness with his former side.
He featured for the Dons in their pre-season friendly with Welwyn Garden City on Friday evening.
Manager Paul Tisdale said: “He's a former player, he knows Danny Butterfield from Southampton and he asked to train with us because he’s without a club - why wouldn't we help him?
"It's the same when we had Troy Brown a few weeks ago. He's playing for us because at this stage of the season, we need 22, 23 players, so it helps us out.
"Never say never but there’s nothing lined up for him here - we're helping him get fit to find a club."
