MK Dons are only into their third week of pre-season training, however, for Brennan Dickenson the season can’t come soon enough.
It’s just under four-weeks until the Dons start their Sky Bet League One campaign away to Bury with the Dons latest recruit admitting he’s eager to get things started at his new home.
Dickenson is currently one of five new faces that arrived at Stadium MK over the Summer, with the former Colchester United man stating that all the new faces are adjusting well to life at MK1.
“It’s been a really good first few weeks,” Dickenson told iFollow MK Dons. “The boys have made it easy for me to settle in and all the staff have been great with me.
“My early impressions are that we’ve got a really strong tight-knit squad and everyone knows their roles. There is that mentality that we want to win games - we are all excited to get going.
“I’m excited to get the pre-season games going. We’ve got to put what we’ve practised in training into the games. It’ll be good to get used to the way we play and the way staff want things done - we’ve got the trust ourselves and have a good pre-season.”
Dickenson added, “The dressing room feels good and positive, all the boys get along and that’s important, we need to have a united squad. We are excited for the start of the season, we can’t be overconfident following promotion - we just need to go in with a self-belief that we can do well this season.”
