Bisham Bible: Day 1

9 July 2019

MK Dons began their two-week training camp at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre today as they up their pre-season preparations ahead of the upcoming Sky Bet League One season.

It’s the first pre-season as a professional for youngsters Charlie Pattison, Matty Sorinola and Jay Bird, while Dean Lewington is taking part in his 17th.

After a light breakfast, the squad made their way over to the field for a light warm-up before undergoing a number of technical and finishing before some work on set-pieces. The morning session was concluded with a crossing and heading contest. (Click HERE to view!)

Following lunch, Simon Crampton, Adam Ross, Tom Bromley and Matt Willmott led a core session in the sun before the team split into two for a 11v11 in-house game.

The match was played as close to a competitive game as possible, with local referees from Berks and Bucks FA sourced to oversee the clash.

Jordan Bowery scored twice, while Callum Brittain and Kieran Agard also found the net.

The fixture was the first chance for the squad to stretch their legs in a match scenario, while it also provided the Medical and Sports Science Department with a barometer for their fitness levels.
