Paul Tisdale expects MK Dons to have a busy deadline day, as he looks to take advantage of this final opportunity to bolster his squad for the run-in.

EFL clubs have until 11pm on Thursday to complete their signings before the transfer window slams for the final time in 2018/19.

Tisdale has already made two signings this month and is hoping to add further to his ranks ahead of the deadline.

“I think [Thursday] will be a really busy day,” he said in his post-match press conference after Tuesday’s 2-1 win over Oldham Athletic.

“There has been a full programme in the Premier League and, because there is often a knock-on, it will probably lead to a last minute one for everybody. It has been a slow window and I’m sure there will be a big carry-on over the next 48 hours.

“I can't tell you how that will manifest itself. I hope we get something that suits us but, if not, no problem, we march on. It could be a very interesting next 48 hours, though.”

Tisdale also confirmed that Peter Pawlett is expected to complete a move away from Stadium MK before the deadline, although noted that no deal has been finalised.
