All you need to know ahead of this afternoon’s Under-23s clash…

14 January 2019

MK Dons Under-23s are back in Central Development League South action this afternoon as they face AFC Wimbledon Under-23s.

Edu Rubio’s side are currently unbeaten in the Central Development League, while a win against AFC Wimbledon, would put them level on points with Plymouth Argyle Under-23s at the top of the table.

So far this season, they’ve recorded a 6-1 win over Southend United, while they also beat AFC Wimbledon 2-1 away from home earlier in the season.

A late Lawson D’Ath goal was enough to earn MK Dons Under-23s a point against Peterborough United last Monday.

Ryan Harley, Mathieu Baudry and Osman Sow all earned minutes during the 2-2 draw, with the Swedish striker also finding the back of the net.

Rubio’s side this afternoon may include a number of first-team players, with the likes of Stuart Moore, Mitch Hancox and Ousseynou Cisse all looking for match minutes.

Elsewhere, David Kasumu, Oran Jackson, Finn Tapp and Dylan Asonganyi will all be hopeful of appearing.

AFC Wimbledon, meanwhile, currently sit fourth place in the division – having picked up seven points from their opening seven games.

Alan Reeves’ outfit are unbeaten in their last three games following an opening day defeat to MK Dons.

They first drew 0-0 with Luton Town, before picking up wins against Southend United and Peterborough United respectively.

A full match report will be available following the final whistle, while Edu Rubio will discuss the clash with iFollow MK Dons.
