Dean Lewington has been Mr. Consistent since the age of 13, according to former MK Dons teammate Malvin Kamara.

Lewington is set to make his 700th appearance for MK Dons on Saturday, just seven days after playing in his 600th league game for the Football Club.

Kamara was a teammate of the left-back coming through the youth ranks at Wimbledon and then for two years with MK Dons, and he told iFollow MK Dons last week that he always believed Lewington would go on to have a long and fruitful career.

“If you’d have been asked back then which player in our youth team would go on to have the longest career, you’d have picked him,” Kamara said.

“When I look back on our team when we were just kids, he was always Mr. Consistent. I don’t think I ever saw him play badly - even when he said he played badly, he was still quite good.

“I’m so proud to see what he’s achieve and having been at the Club for as long as he has. I’m delighted for him.”
