This Saturday, MK Dons make their second trip of the season to Blundell Park and manager Paul Tisdale hopes his side have benefited from their first visit.

Tisdale’s men were beaten 3-1 by the Mariners in their Emirates FA Cup meeting back in November and they’ll be hoping to reverse fortunes when they return to Cleethorpes at the weekend.

“I hope we'll have benefited from that last game,” Tisdale said in his pre-match press conference on Thursday.

“That being said, as much as we have learned from that game, I'm sure they have learnt just as much about us. Also, two months in football is a lot and so much can change.

“But we've got recent experience of going to that ground, so the players have a vision of what's coming and that cannot harm. We know the challenges, albeit the finer details will have changed a little.”

Not only will MK Dons be looking to avenge that cup defeat, they will also be out to get back on track in Sky Bet League Two having won just one of their last six league matches.

“We’re working hard to improve our performances and results,” Tisdale said.

“We know how we want to play and we know what rhythm we want to play with. We've had that clarity all year which is a good thing to have because if you come off that pattern, you know what we have to get back to.”
