Ahead of Saturday’s clash in Greater Manchester, midfielder Alex Gilbey says the squad have their confidence back and are continuing to work hard.
The 24-year-old met with the media ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two game with Bury, and stated the squad are always looking to improve.
Paul Tisdale’s side go into the weekend one point ahead of their opponents in the Sky Bet League Two table and with two games in hand on their opposition.
“After such a good result against Cambridge, we wanted to play another game straight away. We had a few days rest, and then got back to working hard and getting ready for the weekend.
“The manager said the other day, if we can up it by 10% in defence, and up top, then we will push on and be successful. We are always looking to improve and hopefully, we do.
“It’s a massive game [against Bury] - we will do everything we can to go there and win.”
The midfielder, who has three goals to his name this season, also noted he’d love to start finding the back of the net more.
“I think I need to start scoring more goals as I get in the right positions, hopefully, I can start to score some more goals.”
