Tis: Ouss’ rise an example to others

Dons boss hopes players can learn from midfielder...

Paul Tisdale believes Ousseynou Cisse’s quick rise from fringes to first-team can be an example to others in his MK Dons squad.

The Mali midfielder didn’t feature for the Dons during January but returned to the starting line-up for the Sky Bet League Two clash with Newport County on February 12 and has since helped the team to three successive victories.

Tisdale pointed to Cisse’s upbeat manner as a factor in how he’s been able to make an immediate impact, and hopes that his Dons teammates can learn lessons from how he handled his time on the sidelines.

“He’s a real example to others who are out of the side, to just keep a positive frame of mind,” Tisdale said.

“He’s got real faith - not just in his own game but in life. He’s never lost his own confidence and he’s remained an upbeat and positive chap.

“I have to congratulate him on how he’s been able to come back into the side, after being out.

"He has really developed his game, with a bit of direction and guidance. He’s improving by the game.”
