Manager Paul Tisdale remains upbeat as his MK Dons side prepare to take on Swindon Town this afternoon.
Tisdale’s men welcome the Robins to Stadium MK later today looking to secure their third win in seven games and close the gap on the automatic promotion places - a gap which currently stands at four points.
The Dons have performed well on their own patch this season - a win on Saturday would see them boast the best home record in the division - and Tisdale hopes they can use this afternoon's game in Milton Keynes to kick-start their promotion push.
“It's a tough league but if you put a run together it can change the league position straight away,” he said in his pre-match press conference on Thursday.
“There is still a third of the season to go and lots to play for. We are positive in our mindset because we're still in a position where we can affect our league position in a good way with the right results.”
He continued: “There is [an added pressure playing at home] - that’s what happens when you lose your away games.
“Home or away, we go into every game expecting, hoping, planning and plotting for a win.”
In their way of a valuable three points today are Swindon Town, who will arrive at Stadium MK unbeaten in their last four away matches and with their sixth-best road record to their name.
“Swindon are a good side and they’re on a good run,” Tisdale said. “We will have to be at our best against them.”
