Ousseynou Cisse says teamwork and togetherness were at the root of MK Dons’ 2-0 win over Newport County.
Cisse’s second-half header put Paul Tisdale’s side on course for victory - with Chuks Aneke securing the victory in the 89th-minute of the clash.
Cisse noted that the win was a result of the team’s performance with everyone sticking to their tasks in order to get the job done.
“We all worked hard and got the three points," Cisse told the media following the full-time whistle.
"We needed the goal, the first half was very tough, but we were strong and defended well.
“The goal made the game open because Newport had to score to equalise - after my goal, we were able to play football and got the second - It was a great performance from the whole team.”
Cisse concluded his interview with a nod to the Dons supporters who were rewarded with a win at Stadium MK after two successive victories on the road.
“The fans have been great - they travel everywhere to support us.
“It was an important win for everyone involved and for the fans for sticking with us.”
