Joe Walsh says that while he has seen improvements in MK Dons’ performances in recent weeks – he feels there are still strides the squad can make.
Speaking to the local media ahead of Saturday’s clash with Gillingham, the Defender noted that things have looked better on the pitch for the Dons, but insists if there is always room to improve.
“Since Russ has come in there has been a big change in how we play and we’ve had to get used to it over the last few weeks,” Walsh told the media. “I think we’ve looked like we’ve settled in quickly under Russ, we’ve still got improvements to make - hopefully we can pick up a few more results.”
“If you get named in the team on Saturday then you have to do your best to keep the shirt. We know there are players that can come into the team at any time so you have to be on your toes.”
Touching on last Saturday’s win over Oxford United, Walsh couldn’t hide his delight having picked up three points, but is now hungry for more wins.
“It was a big moment. It’s been so long without a win so to finally get it was the best feeling. It was a ling second half on Saturday – I’m just over the moon we got the win and now I want more.
“The mood is really good at the moment, we are playing good football but we don’t want to get carried away with things.”
