Season Ticket holders Andy and Nick Vernon completed a 37-mile work from Kassam Stadium to Stadium MK on Saturday, in aid of Walking With The Wounded’s national campaign Walking Home For Christmas.
It took the pair, and their team, over 13 hours to complete the challenge but they were rewarded with a visit from manager Russell Martin – and three points from his side!
The team have so far raised over £2,000 for Walking With The Wounded, who support ex-servicemen and women who are alone this Christmas. The vital funds will go towards employment, mental health and care coordination support for veterans and their families who are in need.
"Yet when they return, they may find themselves isolated and struggling to find work as they adapt to civilian life – all while struggling with their mental health after witnessing scenes in battle that you or I cannot imagine."
