MK Dons boss looks ahead to this afternoon's game...

Russell Martin says his team’s focus is on their own game and what they can do at the Keepmoat Stadium this afternoon.

Martin’s side travel to South Yorkshire today looking to secure their first league win in 12 matches against a Donny outfit who currently sit seven places above them in the Sky Bet League One table.

MK Dons side go into the match as huge underdogs and Martin believes that moniker will suit his team, as they look to cause an upset at the Keepmoat Stadium.

“No-one outside this building expects us to get anything and that suits us,” the Dons boss said in his pre-match press conference. “Why not go there and surprise a few people?

“Of course we've looked at Doncaster and analysed them. They are a good side but we’re more than capable of going there and winning the game. Our focus will be on us and how we can hurt them.”

A victory today could see the Dons move out of the bottom three if results go in their favour elsewhere in the division. Martin says moving clear of the relegation zone is the aim for his side over the coming weeks.

“We've got one job on our hands and that's to get out of the position we're in,” he insisted.

“After that, we can look forward but until then, lets win enough games to get ourselves out of trouble.”
