Russell Martin previews Sunday's encounter with Portsmouth...

Russell Martin is looking forward to being back at Stadium MK on Sunday, as his side MK Dons go in search of a response to a below-par Boxing Day display and their third straight home victory.

Martin’s men were held to a 2-2 draw by Southend United on Thursday - a result which keeps them in the bottom three in Sky Bet League One.

They could, however, move clear of the drop zone with a victory at home to Portsmouth this weekend – a result which would see them maintain their much-improved form at Stadium MK.

“I can’t wait to get back to our home pitch,” Russell Martin said in the aftermath of the Boxing Day draw at Roots Hall.

“At home, our performances have been really good and our last two results have been good too. I’d like to think that it will be a game that will suit us better than the last two did.

“We’ve lost one game in four but we’ve dropped points, which is frustrating. With these two games coming up, at home, in front of our own crowd, it’s a chance for us to bounce back.

"We need to show we’ve learnt from the last two games and we need to show we’ve improved.”
