Paul Tisdale believes Peterborough United will provide a benchmark of where his side currently sit at this early stage of the season.
MK Dons return to Stadium MK action this weekend to face a Peterborough United outfit who are amongst the bookies favourites for promotion this term.
As well as an opportunity to make it three straight home wins to start the 2019/20 campaign, boss Tisdale also views the fixture as a chance to see how his side stack up against one of the division’s most established teams.
“They're a barometer for us coming up to this league,” Tisdale said in his pre-match press conference ahead of this weekend’s match at Stadium MK.
“They’re an established League One team who have been up to the Championship, and they are a top contender in League One this season.
"They have a manager who knows the club and how they want to play. They have got a really potent and creative strike-force so there is a defensive challenge for us there, for sure. This will be a good test.”
