Paul Tisdale knows MK Dons will be in for a tough afternoon against John Coleman’s Accrington Stanley this Saturday.
While this weekend’s meeting will be the first between the Dons and Stanley for over 11 years, Tisdale reunites with a manager in John Coleman who he has faced 11 times during that time span, with his most recent head-to-head coming back in April 2018.
“John Coleman knows what he's doing,” Tisdale said in his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s clash at the Wham Stadium.
“He knows how his team should function. They play a certain way and they are what they are. I always like watching them as they have a real flow to their game. They play football in the right way.
“He recruits off the back of it and John has a knack of picking up players and maximising their performance. They will always have the difficulty of losing their better players, but they came up into League One last year with raw momentum and did extremely well. They'll be looking to do exactly the same this year.
“When they get into a rhythm, they are hard to beat as they showed when they got promoted. I've had plenty of tough games against Accrington. I enjoy it there, but I've also had some tough games there too.”
