George Williams says he has done all he can to get back in time to play a part during the run-in.
The defender returned to action over the Easter weekend after over three months on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury he sustained away at Bury - one which required surgery to correct.
“I just wanted to get fit as quick as possible,” he told the media after Monday’s 1-1 draw with Port Vale at Stadium MK.
“It has been a busy treatment room but regardless of defensive injuries, my mindset was to do the right things and get back as quick as possible to help the boys out.
“Simon and his team have been great with me. I've got to keep working hard to get fit. I'm doing the best I can to get as fit as possible and make myself available to the manager.”
