Paul Tisdale believes Saturday’s match-winner Russell Martin is proving to be a significant signing for MK Dons.
Martin has been ever-present since arriving at Stadium MK in January and the former Scotland international has contributed greatly to the Dons’ recent run of results, helping them climb to second in the Sky Bet League Two table.
“At the moment he is proving to be a significant signing,” Tisdale said of Martin following the 2-1 win over Forest Green Rovers in which the 33-year-old scored the winning goal with three minutes to play.
“Whatever the age of the player, whatever his skillset, working yourself into the right place, at the right time, with the right thoughts tend to trump everything else.
“He makes plenty of good decisions and he is bringing an air of composure and structure to what we do.
Tis added: “I'm delighted he has a goal. He has deserved it.”
