Russell Martin has been named in the EFL’s Team of the Week for his display in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Forest Green Rovers.
The defender put in a stellar performance during the Dons success in Nailsworth, with the 33-year-old choosing the perfect time to score his first goal in an MK Dons short.
With the game tied at 1-1, Martin gave Paul Tisdale’s side a late lead as he turned home from Jake Hesketh's cross to give the Dons an important three points on the road.
Martin was also named in The Football League World's Team of the Week.

Signed in January, Russell Martin has been impressive since his arrival from Walsall. The defender netted his first goal for the club in the 87th minute, securing a 2-1 win over Forest Green Rovers at the New Lawn.

Rescued the Tangerines with a stunning overhead-kick in injury time to draw 2-2 with Plymouth Argyle.Terry McPhillips’ side still have an outside chance of making the Play-Off places - they are eighth, six points behind Doncaster Rovers in sixth.
Defender: Harry Souttar (Fleetwood Town)
The towering centre-half made his presence known at the Wham Stadium, nodding Fleetwood Town to three points in a 1-0 win over Accrington Stanley.
Defender: Danny Andrew (Doncaster Rovers)
A 25-yard in-swinging free-kick found its way into the bottom corner of Liam Roberts’ goal, wrapping up three points for Grant McCann’s promotion chasers.
Midfielder: Pablo Hernandez (Leeds United)
Instrumental in Leeds United returning to the second in the Sky Bet Championship table this weekend. His two goals against Millwall saw Bielsa’s side pick up three valuable points, to capitalise on Sheffield United 3-2 loss at Bramall Lane.
Midfielder: Kamil Grosicki (Hull City)
The Polish midfielder bagged his sixth and seventh goals of the season as Hull City secured a 2-0 win over bottom side Ipswich Town. Nigel Adkins’ side still have an outside chance of making the Play-Offs, they are only five points off sixth spot.
Midfielder: Kaiyne Woolery (Swindon Town)
The 24-year-old arguably produced his performance of the season so far, in Swindon Town’s 3-1 win over Bury. Two goals from the midfielder helped catapult his side up to 10th, four points off the final Play-Off spot.
Forward: Tyler Walker (Mansfield Town)
The impressive young forward netted a brace over Exeter City at the weekend, bringing his tally up to 19 in Sky Bet League Two.
Forward: Martyn Waghorn (Derby County)
Waghorn and Co ran riot at Pride Park as they put six past a struggling Rotherham United side on Saturday afternoon, goals also coming from Mason Mount, Bradley Johnson and Duane Holmes, keeping the Rams in the last Play-Off spot.
Forward: Andreas Weimann (Bristol City)
Many would not have expected Bristol City to win considering they were 2-1 down with less than 20 minutes of the game remaining. Step up, Andreas Weimann. Two goals in six minutes, adding to one in the first half, saw the Robins forward take home both the match ball and three points.
Manager: John Askey (Port Vale)
Trailing 1-0 and down to 10 men after Leon Legge received his marching orders, the Valiants produced a second-half masterclass to secure victory in dramatic fashion. A strike from David Worrall and a last-minute penalty from Tom Pope turned the fixture on its head, and gave Port Vale a boost in their battle against the drop.
