Football Shirt Friday – Wear your Dons shirt to raise vital funds for the Bobby Moore Fund

10 April 2019

Football Shirt Friday is back for its seventh edition and the Bobby Moore Fund needs your support to make this year’s campaign bigger and better than ever before.

April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, so the Bobby Moore Fund needs you to get behind them and raise funds for their pioneering bowel cancer research.

Whether you fundraise at work, your school, your local sports club or go solo, you can help raise important funds.

Most importantly, don’t forget, Football Shirt Friday is back on Friday 26 April. If you give a shirt about beating bowel cancer, make sure you donate £5 to the Bobby Moore Fund.

The Bobby Moore Fund is one of our key charity partners and the PFA are once again supporting their annual campaign, Football Shirt Friday.

For those not familiar with the campaign, it runs throughout April (Bowel Cancer Awareness Month) and this year culminates on Friday 26th, when they ask people to wear their football shirt and donate £5 to help us beat bowel cancer. You can find out more and register online at www.footballshirtfriday.org.

For 2019, the Bobby Moore Fund would like your help to widen their audience for the campaign because despite statistics showing that bowel cancer typically affects those over the age of 50, over half of all cases can be prevented by healthy lifestyle choices. The charity wants to make sure that all age groups, including children, are aware of this so Schools can help support vital research into bowel cancer.
