Paul Tisdale has confidence in his MK Dons side to turn their recent good performances into victories.

Tisdale’s men impressed with their displays against Lincoln City and Yeovil Town but came away with only one point to their name.

“I think it’s clear that our performances this weekend were excellent but goals are what makes the difference,” he said in his pre-match press conference.

“I’ve had plenty of comments about how well we played which is nice to hear - now we just need to make it click and come together.

“While it’s early days we want to collect the points and we’re not happy that we’ve missed out on them. We’ve got enough talent here to turn those performances into results.”

MK Dons return home this weekend where they will be hoping to begin their turnaround in form against a Tranmere Rovers side who sit just below them in the Sky Bet League Two table.

Tisdale wants to ensure the home supporters leave Stadium MK with a smile on their face come 5pm.

“We all need that boost because I think we all know it’s coming. We’re going to try our very best and I want to supporters to enjoy the game too.

“We had some really nice numbers at Yeovil - I’m so proud of them for making the journey and we just wanted to send them home happy and enjoy the journey back with the three points. They will get that soon, I’m hopeful of that.”

Here is what else Tisdale had to say in his pre-match press conference…

On Alex Gilbey’s withdrawal on Tuesday…
“Gilbey was on a yellow card and, because the game was being stretched, that was purely why he came off.”

On Mathieu Baudry, Conor McGrandles and Ryan Harley…
“I saw them all on the training ground [on Thursday]. I want all of my players fit and when they come back they’ll feel like new signings – they will all be good additions to our squad. “
