MK Dons travel to Sky Bet League Two leaders Lincoln City this afternoon as they look to extend their unbeaten start to the season.
With three wins and four draws to their name, MK Dons currently sit ninth in the division having conceded just four goals. Lincoln City meanwhile, top the table having won six of their eight games, recording one defeat and one draw along the way.
The fixture marks the start of a busy week for MK Dons who will place three times within the space of a week.
Kick-Off is 3pm.
Lincoln City are hotly tipped to earn promotion out of Sky Bet League Two this season and have certainly lived up to that expectation with their results so far this campaign.
Having put together wins against Northampton Town and Swindon Town at the start of the season, The Imps then went on to record victories over Bury, Notts County and Exeter City respectively. The only defeat in their league season came in their last home outing as a Bostwick own goal ensured Crawley Town were 1-0 winners.
They bounced back well though, as Lincoln ran out 2-1 winners against Macclesfield Town last weekend.
Currently in the hot seat at Sincil Bank is the highly rated Danny Cowley, who along with his brother Nicky, guided the Club to promotion into the football league back in 2017. The 39-year-old started his managerial career with Concord Rangers where he achieved numerous promotions before departing for Braintree Town.
There, he guided the Club to the playoffs before coming unstuck against Grimsby Town. That season, he would depart Braintree to join Lincoln City where he has remained since.
MK Dons were forced to settle for a point at home to Forest Green Rovers after Reuben Reid’s late penalty cancelled out Chuks Aneke’s opener.
Aneke pounced on a goalkeeping error from Robert Sanchez to put his side ahead on the half-hour mark but Rovers striker Reid recused a point for his team with 10 minutes remaining.
Lincoln City continued their fine start to the season last weekend thanks to a 2-1 win over Macclesfield Town.
Tom Pett’s first-half goal have The Imps an early lead, however, Jamie Grimes drew Town level with just seven minutes left to plat.
But centre-back Jason Shackell fired in through a crowd of players with three minutes remaining the seal all three points.
MK Dons manager Paul Tisdale: “We want to play better than we did last Saturday. I want people in the stadium to enjoy what we do. We’ve done well so far but we need to up our game. Lincoln are at the top of the league - the early pace setters. It’s going to be a great atmosphere and it will be a good test for us. It looks like a testing few games coming up. This time next week we’ll have a good indication as to where we sit."
Paul Tisdale was able to welcome back Chuks Aneke and Osman Sow during last weekend's clash with Forest Green Rovers - the latter an unused substitute.
Brandon Thomas-Asante is also continuing his rehabilitation process - he featured against Peterborough United earlier this week in an Under-23s friendly.
Attacking midfielder Ryan Harley is also back in training for MK Dons but Conor McGrandles, Peter Pawlett and Lawson D’Ath are among those who remain sidelined.
Lincoln City, meanwhile, will be without midfielder Lee Frecklington who is serving the second of his three-match suspension, while Josh Vickers and Sam Habergham are both long-term absentees for The Imps.
Experienced Premier League official Stuart Attwell will run the rule over this today’s clash as he takes charge of his fifth match of the season.
The experienced referee has so far issued 18 yellow cards this season, while he is yet to send a player off.
Mr Attwell last took charge of the Dons during their 1-1 draw with Preston North End back in April 2016 – that day he booked two players and dismissed Cody Cropper.
