Striker determined to help MK Dons reach their targets...

20 September 2018

Osman Sow missed pre-season due to injury and was subject to speculation regarding a move away from Stadium MK. Having remained an MK Dons player – he’s determined to help the Club reach their targets this season.

The striker endured a tough start to life at MK1 with injuries forcing him to just 20 appearances last campaign.

Fast forward to the present day, Sow can't quite contain his excitement over the thought of donning the shirt once again.

“I’m feeling better every day,” the 28-year-old told iFollow MK Dons.

“I’m just happy to be in and around the boys, training, getting minutes on the pitch and getting back into it.

“I’m trying to be in the best possible shape to help MK Dons reach the targets we have here. I’m happy to be here and I’m looking forward to playing again."

He added, “I just want to play football every day – I’m taking it one day at a time and hopefully it comes soon.”

Reflecting on a difficult 2017/18 campaign, Sow stated the Club and himself have put it behind them and are fully focused on this season under a manager the Swede has been impressed by.

"It was a tough year for me and the team, we learnt a lot, we’ve reflected and it’s time to move on. Now, it’s a new season and I’m looking forward to playing.

“Tis is a very good manager, he’s getting his philosophy across and it’s positive – I like it.

“We need to keep working hard and believing in what we are doing.”

Sow was speaking to iFollow MK Dons ahead of a crucial Sky Bet League Two encounter with table toppers Lincoln City.

“It’s a big game this weekend, but every game is in this division. I think we are in a good place, it’s one day at the time at the moment.

“There is competition for places everywhere but that’s good, at the end of the day everything is about getting three points – that’s it”

Sow concluded his interview with a nod to the MK Dons faithful who have stuck with the striker and the Dons throughout the last 12 months.

“I’m very appreciative of the supporters for their backing – hopefully we can pay them back.”
