The Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month for August will be named on Friday and MK Dons boss Paul Tisdale is among the four nominees for the honour.
Tisdale, in his first month in charge at Stadium MK, has guided the Dons to an unbeaten start, taking 11 points from a possible 15 in August courtesy of three wins and two draws. His side also boasted the best defensive record with three clean sheets to their name.
“I’ve learnt over the years that the nomination comes from a simple equation - which four managers pick up the most points”! Tisdale said when asked about the nomination. “By definition, that means we’ve done a half-decent job.
“It’s great to be recognised but this is about the next nine months - let’s hope we’re in this position every month between now and May.”
The winner of the Manager of the Month Award will be announced at 6am on Friday. Others shortlisted are Danny Cowley (Lincoln City), John Sheridan (Carlisle United) and Matt Taylor (Exeter City).
The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ EFL League expert Don Goodman; EFL Marketing Director Drew Barrand, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Mikey Mumford.
