MK Dons supporters Olly Doherty, Jacob Mitchell, Oakley Brooks, George Harrison and Thomas Bulmer all experienced a matchday they will never forget last weekend at Stadium MK.
Olly, celebrating his 13th birthday, was Saturday’s match-ball carrier and, as part of his experience, was able to lead the two teams out of the tunnel ahead of kick-off.
Prior to the match, he got to spend time in the dressing room with the MK Dons squad and after the game presented Dean Lewington with his Man of the Match award.
Dan Doherty, speaking for Olly, said of the experience: “He absolutely loved the day. He met all the players and had a truly amazing 13th birthday. The most amazing bit was giving dean the man of the match champagne.
“He was the happiest teenager I have ever seen.”
Meanwhile, Jacob, Oakley, George and Thomas were MK Dons’ four mascots on the day and each got to walk out of the tunnel with their chosen player after meeting the squad in the dressing rooms before kick-off.
The quartet also got to warm on the pitch alongside the team - all part of an ‘incredible’ afternoon at Stadium MK.
Charlie, a parent of Oakley, told mkdons.com: “It was absolutely incredible - I have no words! Everyone involved was amazing - Paul and Jayne were fabulous with kids.
“All the players had time for Oakley, which he loved. A huge thank you to Lee Nicholls who held his hand walking out as he felt nervous!
“We will be returning to watch matches because we had the best day ever.”
Richard Bulmer, speaking on behalf of Thomas, said: “I think it was a superb experience and it’s been a day he will never forget.
“We were very well looked after today and the access the boys had to the players and the stadium was just fantastic - I really couldn’t fault it.
“A day to remember - all topped off with a win!
