MK Dons conceded just two goals in the month of October and are unbeaten in their last eight Sky Bet League Two games – despite their good run of form – Joe Walsh is looking to remain grounded ahead of a difficult run of fixtures.
Paul Tisdale’s men will face Crawley Town, Macclesfield Town, Stevenage and Morecambe in the month of November – with a cup tie away to Grimsby also in the schedule.
“We’ve done really well in October,” Walsh told iFollow MK Dons following Saturday’s draw at The One Call Stadium.
“We need to keep it going now as it’s still early in the season – hopefully we can take that into November."
The defender also praised the resilience and character of the squad that came from behind twice last week – earning a total of four points in the process.
“It’s a 90-minute game, so if you go a goal down there isn’t any point getting down about it. We know we’ve got the players to play some football and get back into the game.
“I think Mansfield will be up there at the end of the season because they are strong at home and do well away – they don’t concede many either.
“We created a lot of chances, it was a very good and - I thought we were unlucky not to win.”
Walsh added, “We’ll take it and go onto the next game.”
