Andrew Cullen's Tranmere Rovers notes

Catch up on what you might have missed in Saturday's programme...

For those who didn't get the opportunity to read, here are Executive Director Andrew Cullen's programme notes ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet League Two clash with Tranmere Rovers...

"Our last two fixtures on the road to high-flying Lincoln City on Saturday and then at Yeovil Town on Tuesday evening saw two fluid and energetic performances, emphasising the continued improvement in the team, as a whole, that is being made as the season concludes its second month.

"A big thank you to all those who travelled both to Lincoln and to Yeovil. A fantastic turnout of more than 600 supporters at Sincil Bank played its part in creating a great atmosphere in a packed stadium. That support was hugely appreciated by us all, as indeed was the further show of commitment of those who made the very long journey to Huish Park on a midweek night, resulting in a return to Milton Keyne, not until the early hours of the morning.

"Off the pitch, there have been a number of exciting announcements in the last fortnight flowing on from the announcement at the last home game that title partners Suzuki GB have signed a three-year extension to their partnership.

"Today, we are delighted to welcome everyone from Marshall Amplification as they confirm their sponsorship of the Marshall Arena at Stadium MK, which is another massive boost for everyone at the stadium. The Club itself has had a long association with Marshall who, of course, were previous shirt sponsors and whose Head Office is close to the stadium.

As well as continuing to successfully host major exhibitions, events and conferences over the last few years the Marshall Arena is poised to become a major live music venue with Black Eyed Peas, Soul 2 Soul and UB40 all set to appear on different nights later this autumn. The development of live music with more artists to be announced makes the venue a perfect fit for Marshall who have over 50 years of experience in the music industry and are a business celebrated by so many of the leading musicians in the world.

"Elsewhere, we have confirmed two stellar line ups for summer concerts to take place in the stadium, with Take That launching their summer stadium tour at Stadium MK on Thursday 23th May and then Sir Rod Stewart performing here on Tuesday 4th June.

"To capture such an iconic band and a legendary artist is really exciting in our goal to establish the stadium as a venue to both inspire and excite the whole of Milton Keynes and the surrounding community. Furthermore, the support of two leading music industry promoters behind each act represents a major boost and opportunity as we seek to establish ourselves as a major concert venue

"Tickets for both Take That and Rod Stewart events are available from online ticketing provider Ticketmaster, with only disabled seating and hospitality packages available to be booked directly via the Box Office.

"After today we are back on the road for another midweek fixture at Port Vale on Tuesday night, before returning back here next Saturday to entertain Cheltenham Town.

As ever we are extremely grateful for your support this afternoon - enjoy the game!"
