Earlier this year, Imberhorne School in East Grinstead visited Minaki School in Tanzania as part of their long-running Exchange Programme.
12 Imberhorne Students funded their visit to Africa where they stayed with teachers at the 6th form boarding school – a place that is home to 600 boys.
Their days were spent educating the students, while for the duration of their trip they were paired up with a student.
The Students also spent two days at the local orphanage in the nearby village where they’d previously built a water tank, installed a water pump and built a kitchen.
As part of their programme, 12 Minaki School students will fly to England in February to experience the education system and culture.
As part of their visit, Imberhorne School donated a bag containing clothes, stationery and toys.
The School also included a number of MK Dons’ shirts for the Minaki students who donned them proudly.
