D'Ath hoping to play his part in helping MK Dons maintain their form...

After returning to action, midfielder Lawson D’Ath hopes to find a level consistency to his performance and help MK Dons maintain their place in the top three in Sky Bet League Two.

D’Ath, who moved to Stadium MK this summer, was limited to just a couple of appearances in the first two months of the season, has featured in six games since overcoming an injury in mid-October.

He has helped the Dons establish a spot in the automatic promotion places but hopes to produce even more over the coming months.

“It’s been good to be a part of this team,” he told this Tuesday’s edition of Red Dot. “It’s been frustrating for myself, due to the injuries I’ve had, but I feel like I’m slowly getting there. I’m looking forward to the rest of the season.

“I think my performances have been a bit up and down. I’ve played well in some games but in others I don’t think I’ve done that well. It’s frustrating when you’ve been out because you’re trying to get back up to speed and you know you can do better than you’re doing.

“I’m working hard to get there. I’m looking to improve whenever I get the chance to play. I just need to learn not to get frustrated with myself because I know I need to trust the process.”

D’Ath & Co take on Morecambe on Tuesday looking to return to winning ways after defeat at Stevenage this past weekend.

The Dons have been in impressive form at Stadium MK this season, having won six of their nine home matches without tasting defeat. While eager to maintain their good run, D’Ath insists the team are not getting carried away.

“We need to keep the run going here but take it one match at a time,” he said. “The longer we stay near the top, the harder it’s going to be in win games here. We need to be patient here and not get frustrated in games."

Read more from D'Ath in tonight's edition of Red Dot, which will be available to buy from sellers around Stadium MK and the Club Superstore at a price of £3.
