Kieran Agard has called for MK Dons to use the disappointment of this season as fuel to bounce back next year.
MK Dons will compete in fourth tier of English football next year after finishing 23rd in the Sky Bet League One.
Agard, though, isn’t feeling sorry for himself and wants use the frustrations and disappointments of this past campaign as motivation moving into 2018/19.
“We’ll go away, try to look forward to pre-season where we’ll want to hit the ground running,” the striker, who netted eight goals this season, said after the 1-0 victory against Shrewsbury Town.
“Obviously you'll have little flashbacks and reminders of the season but you have to use that as fuel to go again.
“It has been a disappointing season but we have to look up now and come back ready to go in pre-season.”
As with any offseason, there will be change at Stadium MK over the next couple of months - including the appointment of a permanent First-Team Manager.
Is that something Agard will be thinking about?
“We can't control that so we have to focus on ourselves and what we're doing. There will be a lot of changes I’m sure but you can only worry about yourself.”
