29 May 2018

From BBO to BOBi...

Samson Omoyele (far right), Sam Bowman (second left) and Kelvin Lewis (far left) are all participants on the Building Opportunities Support Into Employment programme (BBO). All three have worked hard on the programme and are making great progress. Samson, Kelvin and Sam have also started playing for one of the SET's disability football teams and they attend the sessions on Thursdays at Woughton on the Green.

They played for the SET's Conference team in the BOBi league fixture at Moulton Park, Northampton on Sunday 20th May. This picture was taken after a fantastic 2-0 win against Banbury, with Samson scoring two great goals.

Education...

It's been a busy week for the SET's BTEC group both on and off the field. After completing their first exam on Monday, the BTEC group took on Oxford United on Wednesday which ended in a 2-2 draw - well done boys.

This, alongside all of MK Dons SET’s events on the pitch over the last two weeks, have been supported by the Traineeship group who have enjoyed being part of all the community engagement!

Sports Development...

This week has seen the inaugural MK Dons SET Primary Stars Girls Cup take place at Stadium MK.

Eleven school teams of Year 3 & 4 girls took to the Stadium MK turf for a six-a-side tournament.

Awards were given for demonstrating each of the Premier League’s four values: Be Connected – Holne Chase Primary School; Be Inspiring – Giles Brook School; Be Ambitious – Monkston Primary School; Be Fair – Long Meadow School (pictured).
