MK Dons Sport and Education Trust were named 'Charity of the Year 2018' in a glittering ceremony at last night's Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards.
The trust joined other well-respected local charities in the finalist line-up including Willen Hospice, MK Storehouse and The Parks Trust. The prestigious award, sponsored by Bletchley Park, recognises charities that are delivering outstanding outcomes for their beneficiaries and those able to demonstrate the impact of that work.
The award caps off the perfect celebrations to the SET's 10th birthday celebrations. MK Dons Sport and Education Trust has engaged with over half a million people over the 10 years through a variety of life-changing projects.
MK Dons SET Interim Joint Chief Executive, Angela Novell, was pleased to collect the award on behalf of the team. She said: “The prestigious award coincides with the 10th birthday celebrations for the Trust and reflects the hard work and commitment of the whole team in delivering life-changing programmes across the region.”
