Hugo Logan named in the starting XI for Hitchin Town on Tuesday evening before scoring the winning goal to hand his side all three points.
The Canaries returned to winning ways as they overcame Stratford Town 2-1 – a win that saw then climb to 10th in the Evo-Stik Premier League table.
Charlie Smith opened the scoring for Hitchin Town eight minutes into the game, however, they were pegged back almost immediately as four minutes alter Liam Frances levelled for the hosts.
With 25 minutes on the clock, Logan converted from close range to score what proved to be the winner.
Hitchin are back in action this Saturday when they face Tiverton Town, meanwhile, Sam Nombe's Oxford City travel to Braintree Town on Good Friday.
