Sam Nombe has signed a new two-year deal with MK Dons, extending his stay with the Football Club.
The Club exercised the 12-month option in the Academy graduate's existing contract but he has now put pen-to-paper on a fresh two-year deal which will keep him at Stadium MK until at least June 2020.
"I'm so pleased," the 19-year-old told iFollow MK Dons. "To get your first professional contract is fantastic, but to get your second, at a Club I've been at for so long is great – I'm happy to be here.
"MK Dons means a lot to me and it's helped me develop so much. I feel like I'm taking everything in my stride and hopefully I can break through and take a starting spot next season."
Nombe, who has been at the Club since he was an Under-11, has certainly had a memorable season.
The striker netted nine times in 12 games for the Under-23s, while he also enjoyed a loan spell at Oxford City, scoring six goals in nine appearances for the National League South club.
In August 2017, the 19-year-old made his professional debut in the Carabao Cup win over Forest Green Rovers before just four days later replacing Robbie Muirhead for his Sky Bet League One debut away to Blackpool.
The powerful striker has featured 12 times for the first team this season, including the final day victory over Shrewsbury Town.
"I look back on this season as a stepping stone," he reflected. "I'm going to set my targets quite high next season and try to push myself to be even better than I was last year.
"It was fantastic to make my league debut and to come on against someone like Blackpool was a great experience for me to learn how to operate in a first-team."
